games keep minimizing every 60 seconds. (solved)

2 days ago my computer started to act strangely, when i play a game it will minimize every 60 seconds and DLLhost.exe shows up as "terminated" in the resource monitor
i first scanned with microsoft security essentials, and it found a virus, and it temporarily fixed the problem, but after i restarted the computer it started happening again. i have run the sfc /scannow in the command promt in case of damaged files because of the virus but it found nothing. i figured that it fit into the win7 category since i have noticed that it affects every program i have. when i am typing in the browser it will unselect the typing (a mild nuiscence).
in case it matters, here are my specs:
AMD FX-4100 CPU, ASUS Crosshair V formula MB, Sapphire radeon HD 7990 graphics card. Corsair TX750 PSU, OS on a 90 GB SSD. Win7 Professional.

Please help! i am getting desperate!

I found the problem, a process called TWCA was messing up my computer. it is a process belonging to the TP-link driver fo my USB wifi antenna. it is an unimportant process and ending it solved my problems. ending it will not cause the WIFI to drop out!

If "removing" a virus fixed it, but it came back on a reboot, chances are the virus was not fully removed, or maintained the means to re-install itself. Re-scan and re-clean, using some additional tools. MalwareBytes suggested by rgd1101 is a good choice.

Hi,
Try rolling back to the last RESTORE POINT (System Restore). You will lose any application changes such as installing a program, but not any files.

If that doesn't work, try each Restore Point in order from newest to oldest.

Other:
In the future, I recommend using a tool like Acronis True Image to automate backups of C-Drive to another drive. The paid version has different options that are automated. I made an initial Image after drivers/programs etc that I NEVER DELETE. I also have weekly backups done; it makes eight and deletes the oldest.

HI! I'm also having the same problem. Would you be able to elaborate regarding ending the "TWCA" process? I tried googling it, but can't seem to find any relevant hits. thanks much!

all i can say is that i found a process called TWCA.exe, i got curious and googled it, i found some threads on different forums that said that it belonged to the TP-link drivers, some also said that it caused their games to minimize every 60 seconds, the minimizing stopped after i ended the process. and i haven't had a problem with it since!
