My ocz modxstream pro 600w has a dead +5V rail but everything else works. Is it possible to repair this with like a cap change or is it junk bin worthy? Also with hat said i found out it works fine if i jumpstart it i currently have it running 2 hard drives 1 135MM fan and my GTX 285 but im not putting any load on it just using it for windows and web surfing purposes but is that a bad idea i mean if the 5+v died does that mean the +12V isn't far behind or was it a bad cap or what?

well you have checked for blown caps if there are any or ones that are buldging find those then should be a bunch of diode packs atached to a heatsink you will have to unsolder the heatsink and diodes find the one(s) that are for 5v find the part number find replacement on the internet then attach them to the heatsink solder it back in making shure all the soldering on the bottom is good and then it may work and that is what i meant when i said it is a lot of work
