I just reloaded windows 7 and checked for updates but it said the laptop is up to date but I am seeing 2 problems, the dvd video looks choppy and I can access the net with a wired connecttion and not seeing any wireless option but in the DM it shows that the Network Controller driver is not installed so I am guessing that's why I am not seeing a wireless option? I am looking here but there are too many drivers listed, can anyone tell me exactly whic drivers I should try for the video and wireless please?

For the correct graphic driver, you need to go into Device Manager and look under the Sound, Video, Game Controllers category or the Display Adapter category for the name of your graphic device. It might say something like ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4225, Mobile Intel 4 series Express Chipset Family, or Intel(R) HD Graphics/Intel(R) Display Audio. After you figure out which one it is, go back to the link you posted and look under the Video category for the drivers. Under each of their download link, there will be a link for a Read me file. Click it, and somewhere near the top will tell you which graphics device that driver is for. Now you have figured out the correct driver. Download it follow through with the installation wizard.

For networking select the category that matches your wired or wireless setup. Networking: LAN (Ethernet) is for a wired connection to a Local Area Network. The next option Wireless LAN is for a wireless connection in a Local Area Network. Wireless WAN is a network spread across a large geographical area. Figure out which type of network you use and select the correct category. Repeat the process for finding the correct driver except this time you will be looking in the Network Adapters category in Device Manager.

After updating the video fixed itself but I am confused about the Network controller, this is listed under "Other Devices". When I look under "Network Adapters", I am seeing this:
Realtek RTL8168D Family PCI-E Gigabit ehternet NIC [NDIS 6.20]

I don't know what this means or how that info will help me select the correct driver?

Actually I just remembered, try this first. Go to that Ethernet NIC device you found and right-click on it, select Properties, then go over to the Driver tab and select Update Driver. This method doesn't usually guarantee the most recent driver but hey, it's an update. See if that helps.
