Here is my specification
MB: Asus Sabertooth z77
CPU: i7 3770k
GPU: EVGA 670 FTW
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 2x4gb
PSU: EVGA NEX 750w

The crashing is random and can happen 5 times in 1 hour or 1 time in 2 days. It happens mostly when music is playing although not always. The crashing usually lasts around 1-2 minutes before it recovers, when I removed the GPU and used on board the freeze last 2 -3 seconds every time which i found strange.

So far I have tested the RAM with memtest overnight , no errors. I have tested the graphics card with benchmark software on high no problems. I have ran CPU benchmarking with no problems. No overheating issues. I have performed a clean refresh of windows and problem still occurs.

also should mention that I don't have nvidia hd audio installed and crashing occurs more when on hdmi than dvi.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

What program you use to listen to music? Is the music been downloaded legally ?

It happens mostly when music is playing although not always
What else do you do when you listen to music?

Test again and look at the task manager to see if all core are used @ 100%, this might be the cause of the lag/freeze. Let's say you encode a big video and listen to a movie a the same time, the encoding could be using all core @ 100 and thus causing the lag.

What temps are you getting on the cpu ?

Hi, thanks for replying,
I'm using spotify, music is legally downloaded.
Its not that all the cores are being used, because it happens when im running just 1 program such as spotify, also it crashes when browsing the internet. Typically spotify uses less than 5% of cpu.
Temps are 35C at idle and 50C on load
