iPhone - Expandable Memory

If the memory on your Google Nexus 7 is getting rather low, you can buy a cable to attach USB devices to it. Using a root application called Stickmount, you can mount USB drives or even external hard drives to the Nexus, allowing you to expand the storage space to any amount you like. If you want 1TB storage, you can have it. Easy.

So why isn't this possible on iOS??? Someone please, please explain why this system hasn't been made for iPhones, iPods and iPads???

I really don't get it. We have the ability to jailbreak our devices don't we? Why isn't expandable storage possible??

Storing data on the cloud doesn't suit everyone, especially if you don't always have access to the Internet like me.

Simple. Because it doesn't support USB OTG yet.
Since android is open-source, developers can easily add support for OTG in android devices. :)
