Router loses internet connection at night?

Something odd has been happening.

This house is on TalkTalk and we recently bought an EchoLife router. The wireless network works fine but the router seems to lose internet connection from about 10 pm onwards.

It's not a problem with the internet itself as I can still connect to it via modem. Any suggestions?

I was going to suggest that maybe that is when your service provider decides to do maintenance, but if you can still connect using the modem, then that can't be the reason.

Does the router reconnect on its own, or do you have to reset it?

It the router it turning off at the same time every night be sure that it is not set to turn off internet access at night. I used to have to do that to my kids at night to keep them from playing games all night.

If you have a logging ability in the router, I'd recommend turning it on and seeing what happens.
