Can I switch my hard drive from my current build to my new one

I'm currently building a new gaming PC on a budget and I was just wondering if I can take my current hard drive that has my OS installed and switch it to my new build and have it boot up without a problem

Depends on how similar your new computer is to your old one. Staying within the same processor family, it should work fine. However, when you start changing sides (AMD to Intel, or vice versa), that is where you start having trouble.
