With 64A on the 12v rail, that PSU is an awesome match for 2 7970's. It also gives you some extra headroom if you decide you want to overclock them!

Also look at corsair or seasonic, there psu's are very well made.

Check out this chart. Even running Furmark the system is only drawing 641w with 2 7970's and an i7-3960x. While gaming they were at 489w. Your power supply will work great. (They were using a 850w PSU for this chart as well)

yes no problem. hopefully AMD continue to improve their drivers for crossfire, although im sure the next gen cards will make a more significant improvement on frame time variance ;) ......... (if it were my rig i'd wait for next gen amd cards for crossfire). But if you just cant wait.....then go for it....
