For the Intel Core 2 duo E8600. I know this is an old cpu but I found it really cheap and it's better than the PoS that I have now. However it does not come with a heatsink, and I will be needing one.

It is compatible with my motherboard incase you are wondering.

Here's your CPU on newegg:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115054

Go to the "Details" tab down below and you'll find an area that says "CPU Socket Type: LGA 775". That tells you what heatsinks your cpu is compatible with. It is also listed in the name (LGA 775). LGA = lane grid array.

A good site you can use to browse parts is pcpartpicker. On the cpu coolers page you can browse all you want:
http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/cpu-cooler/#sort=d3

Just make sure it is compatible with your "LGA 775". A lot seem to be.
