Hi, I am waiting for my PC parts to come from Newegg in about two days and I was wondering if I could build it on Non-Shaggy carpet just flat I have an anti static wrist strap and I am also wondering what do i connect the clip too I heard that I connect my power supply to the wall but make sure its in the off position but would hooking it up to the metal on the case be fine? In general where can I put the clip? Anyway its not shaggy it like flat :)

Clipping it to the case the the main use of the wristband as being grounded to the case is all you need to do. As for being on carpet I would strongly recommend against it, but in a pinch you can if you have the wristband. I would still try to find a wood/concrete place with a non conductive surface like a wooden table to work on. I built mine on hardwood on a wood table and had no issues what so ever. I have worked on some old dell PCs on carpet and had no issues, but theres a bigger chance of issues on carpet.

Don't risk it, just go on a table counter top. The flat carpet also causes static :)
