So I've been trying to port forward a port for a while now and I just don't understand what is going on. Somehow, I am able to run a Minecraft server and it is able to be connected to by people outside of my LAN using my ip and dns, but when I use something like canyouseeme.org all my ports are closed. Does anyone here know what's going on?

Try using this tool: http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/

This is a lot better and faster. But make sure that you change the port number on the website from "80" to "25565" or what ever port you have your server running through.
