Easy way to remove the "cheese graters"

I have a NZXT Source 210 case and in order to maximize airflow and reduce fan noise level I've thought about cutting out the "cheese graters" where the fans are located at. What is the best way to do this? If I dremel the graters out, is there any advice on smoothing the metal edges and painting them so it's not blatantly obvious I took a cutting tool to my case?

I would also add black fan grills to help conceal my cutting, but any additional advice on such a simple mod is welcomed.

If you are new to this, I recommend just cutting the ones you can not see(back/bottom and the front if they are hidden).

If you are getting fan turbulence from them, Try a small spacer(like a flat rubber washer) between the case and the fan. The pop up design actually looks like it should work rather well(looks like what Antec has used for years with good results.). The floor fan grille may be flat and cause more noise with some fans.

Cutting them out with the flat cutting disks(do not press to hard and wear safety glasses because those suckers DO break and fly) works fairly well and a fine metal file can be used to smooth out the cut.

As you can see, I am no expert at this and stick to cutting out ones that will be un-seen

Last fan grille I cut

I also forgot that some users get a rubber or plastic trim to HIDE the edge that was cut. This can improve the look quite a bit.
