Hi Tomsharware community
Please help -ideas as to how ?
Dell Inspiron 1545 bought 2009 for my late son-killed 19 years old in July 2010
Has spiritual value.
Had Upgraded ram to Hynix ddr2 2x4GB=8GB -Performance table: 7.8GB ddr2
Basic System performace Was 3.9 Now Showing 3.4
Had 320GB hdd with 16MB catche-now has 8MB
OS Win 7 Ultimate x64 English-with Norton Utilities 15 and Norton Internet Security all Up to date !
-instead of identical software download request pc shop loaded Win 7 Ultimate x32

In Jan.OS ruined 6 times while using facebook messaging!
at the time was using MS IE10 browser System suddenly had blue screen -could not be recovered in spite of recovery dvd
Took it to pc repair shop in Marmaris ,who was ok last year !
Did not suspect what would happen!Ram reduced to 4GB with screws missing!
HDD 320GB 8MB catche keeps asking for defrag-had 16MB catche
tried to get hardware archive from Dell Diagnostics and Norton Help!Utilities 15 -now loaded Utilirties 16 -could be used on 3 pcs-so Norton Account Records spec of pcs so does Norton IS+ Dell Diagnostics before + after the event
No reply to requests the past 5 weeks as yet!
How can I find hardware spec archive to prove?
thanks in advance

The Dell Service Tag info might lead to the original configuration. either on the Dell website, or call them and ask "What was the original config of this laptop...Service Tag xxxxx"
It should be printed on the bottom.

It sounds like you just found a shady repair shop.

Thanks for the reply.
The Original configuration was Upgraded with 2 x 4GB ram .We paid £50-for this upgrade when we purchased it. Now 8GB is worth $150
Hence The Service Tag archive has the answer from previous Dell Full Diagnostics Test June/July 2013 in contrast to the last one/now!
I have sent Help emails to Dell and Norton but no reply yet!
