Hi! I have a few questions. Here is my current system:
CPU: i5 4670k
CPU cooler: CM 212 EVO
MOBO: MSI Z87 G41 (going to upgrade this and my GPU next spring)
GPU: Sapphire 7870 GHZ edition (OC'd to 1175 mhz)
RAM: Kingston Hyperx 1600 (2x4gb)
PSU: OCZ ZT 750 watt
HDD: A pretty old 5400 rpm 250 gb seagate

Ok. I am looking to upgrade my case (right now I'm using an old old case that has horrible cable management). I was thinking about this one (rosewill challenger):
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811147153
My budget for the case is $50.

Next, I am going to upgrade my hdd. I am stuck between buying a 1tb hdd and completely replacing my current hdd or buying an ssd and using it as a boot drive and keeping my current hdd for media storage. This computer is mostly used for gaming right now. Do you all have any opinions on what I should do? If I went with the ssd, I would get the Samsung 840 120 gb, and, if I went with an hdd, I would get the WD blue 1tb. Again, any input on this would be great.

Next! I am having a bit of stability problems. First, my system does not crash while gaming or while doing anything else that puts stress on the PSU/GPU/CPU. Occasionally, while browsing the internet, firefox locks up. When Firefox finally closes, my desktop goes blank and I have to restart with the case power button.
It only BSOD one time and I didn't have enough time to see the error message.
The other time my system crashes is when I leave games downloading on Origin for a long period of time. For example, I start the download and then go to bed. When I wake up, the computer is powered off. When I restart the PC and go back to Origin, all of the game's progress is gone. I am thinking I might need to update my bios, but I'm not sure. I will also run memtest and see how that turns out.

One quick question on memtest. The directions say to make sure that your usb device is bootable (I have no cd drive), so how do I know if my usb drive is bootable?

Sorry for such a long post! Also, thanks in advance to everyone who replies.

On your storage question, I am told that an SSD really makes the system feel really fast. I'd go with your second option on storage. You can also buy a smaller capacity one as a boot SSD drive.

On the blue screen, it is going to need a bit of troubleshooting to figure out, but the two questions that come to my mind are a) your OS version and whether it is current on patches, and b) if you tried uninstalling and re-installing the software.

Is it possible that the Firefox issue and the download issue are not related? May be the system shut down during the download because it was told to (power saving options)? And could it be that the Firefox is missing some add-ons/plug-ins etc. or that the JavaScript is causing your system to hang?

Thanks for the feedback! I think that going with the ssd as a boot drive and using my old hdd as storage is what I will do.
I am using Windows 7 64 bit right now. For the firefox problem, do you have any suggestions to find any missing add ons\plug ins? Ill check my power saving options when i get home, but I am 99% sure they are it is set to power the screen off after an hour and sleep the system after 12 hours.
