I have been trying to figure out which GPU would give me the best bang for the buck.

Basically I want to be able to run all current gen games maxed out at around 60 fps. My budget is right around $200, the cheaper the better. I have no preference when it comes to AMD or nVidia.

Currently I have a AMD Radeon HD 6850 with an intel i7.

I am normally pretty good when it comes to computer stuff, but all of the different choices makes finding the best card nearly impossible.

Thanks.

For $200 you can get a 7950:

Otherwise a $175 7870:

I went from a Galaxy GTX 650 Ti Boost to a GTX 760 OC TF, from MSI and I would say if you can, try to get the 760. This model allows me to overclock it way high and it will perform like a GTX 670. This is pretty much the card you want if you are going to be gaming at 1080p/1200p to get 60fps as this is the resolution I game at (1920x1200) and this is the card I have (I also have an Intel i7-3770k which I overclock to 4.2Ghz during gaming). The MSI model comes with great cooling and the built in overclocking app makes it very easy to squeeze all the performance out of it. It goes for around $250 at the moment but you also get a free game which you can recoup some $ selling. Otherwise you might steer toward a Radeon card but someone else will have to offer advice on that since I have zero experience with them. Good luck.

Okay, I was looking at the 650 turbo boost (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130910). It has less memory and a lower bit, but a higher core clock frequency. What is the difference here? I read that the bit has something do with AA. Is this true?

The 650ti Boost is great. The price is $160. For an extra $15 you can get a 7870. That's a huge jump in performance. The 650ti boost is popular cuz of the price, but recently the prices of 7870/660t/7950 have fallen considerably. Now that the 7870 is only $15 more than a 650ti boost the decision isn't so easy anymore.

Also the 7870 is 256bit compared to the 650ti boost at 192bit.

I'd get the 7870 2GB.

If I were to get the 7870, or any amd card for that matter, could I use crossfire with my current 6850?
