hi all,

My current setup is
CPU 955 BE and GPU gtx 570

will this result in bottleneck? Is there like a certain template we can check whether the hardware setup is balance?

During gaming, sometimes the graphic cant rendered properly.

For example when im playing Tomb raider. The GPU temp went up to 78c then the whole game crash.

i had to increase the fan speed to 2200rpm to stabilize the temp.

In this case should i upgrade a better cpu?or cooling?

Thanks guys

It honestly sounds like a driver issue, something that has happened with the nvidia drivers after the 314.22 release (which is THEIR MOST STABLE). Please download and refer to notes on the 326.80 BETA DRIVER, I can confirm myself this driver is very well off and has finally addressed alot of issues within SLi and single card configurations. Please download and install these drivers and then let me know of anything that is an inconvenience.

ahh i see..allright i try the 326.8 beta driver.

so my cpu has no problem performing together with the 570?because i read a thread somewhere here that states CPU does have effect on Gaming performances.

i update to you once i tried it.

The CPU has a mjor influence on overall system stability, however the nvidia display drivers have had some tiny hiccups as of late. the 314.22 and the 326.80 are the most stable and recommended

I think your GPU drivers will be the first thing to look at , even though I believe its not the culprit. I think either your just pushing the GPU too hard , OCing it or the GPU cooler is clogged up. If updating to driver wont help , download MSI Afterburner and see if the GPU is on its stock settings mentioned by GPU brand. If not , bring it down to stock settings , or increase voltage according to situation and increase fan speeds. Still if you overheat , get the GPU out of the case , and try to clean up the GPU cooler as much as possible.

IMO the CPU and GPU are a good pair ( not perfect , but not bad either ) You aren't bottlenecking at all. Still if issue persists , get an aftermarket GPU cooler , like the Arctic Accelero Xtreme II PLUS/Xtreme III. Make sure your PCB is a reference one , before purchasing though.
