How to overclock I5-3570k?

I'm sure this it's a simple answer. Overclocking is something I don't have much experience with. Only thing I know is it has something to do with the BIOS. I have a good power supply, multiple fans, and water cooling. And what exactly do people overclock a cpu for? I'm trying to video record on some games in HD, will a cpu overclock help with this? Thx

Yes it will help, it speeds up the CPU to perform faster - with a 3570K, easiest to start slow, simply change the CPU multiplier to 40, with most all else should be fine...as you take the OC higher, will have to make additional changes, i.e. increase the CPU voltage, and more...many can hit 4.2 with a vCore (CPU) voltage increase....one of the best bets is to google like "3570K (put your mobo model here) OC Guide" there's guides out on most of the popular mobos combined with your 3570K that will help you get started
