After endless research here are my two builds, similar price I understand the first build will be a tiny bit slower but better for games, however is there any other disadvantage other than this, as I'm leaning towards the 750k. Also feel free to suggest any other improvements on my parts i.e. monitor, cooler etc.

The monitor is 1920 x 1080 but very low price for this res I don't mind going down to 1600x 900 or 1680 x 1050.

I will be playing battlefield 4 may want to have a go at Crysis 3 and watch movies.

Thanks for the response. Why do you think that motherboard is a better one?

Cheaper.

Yes, that build is better. Dropping the cooler is a good idea, though it precludes OCing and will be louder.

I'd still go for the XFX PSU though.

If you go to the maplin site, the XFX is "not available at this time" for purchase.

fx6300 needs a am3+ motherboard i take it I would'nt be able to upgrade the CPU again?? What sort of extra performance would I be getting with the fx-6300?? Also how easy/difficult would it be to add a cooler in at a later date?? (This will be my first build)

Same could be said for an FM2 mobo, where its highest upgrade is the 760K pretty much.

its really not hard at all to add a cooler down the line.

atleast an AM3+ board can be upgraded to an FX8350. (and maybe next generation enthusiast processors)
