Hey guys, I've finally finished building my new PC and when I turn it on there's no signal to the monitor! There is NO beep from the motherboard when I start up the PC, and I'm wondering if that is the problem.

Specs:
Motherboard - Gigabyte 970A-DS3
GPU - EVGA GTX 580 1.5GB
CPU - AMD FX-6350 6-Core
PSU - Corsair CX-600 600W
RAM - 8GB Corsair Vengeance Dual DDR3

The connectors for the GPU are a 6 and an 8-pin. The PSU comes with two 4-pin connectors with extra 2-pin ones attached, so I have used those. Do these work? I would rather have an 8-pin connector I could use for the GPU.

No beep means the MB is faulty, provided you have the MB speakers installed. The PSU has 2 x 6+2-Pin PCI-E connectors, so there will be no problem with connecting the GPU from PSU.

You can try the GPU on another system to check if its ok. I suspect the MB.

you can probably get a molex adapter for the 8+6 pin for the gpu and you have to have case speakers installed into the MB to hear error beep/codes. Can you check the Motherboard or any doc's you got to see when the MB was manufactured/or what bios is installed? because when you go to the MB's official site it say you need the latest bios for the AM3+ AMD FX-Series cpu's.
