Not you cannot "switch out" the graphics card. The vast majority of laptops do not allow you to upgrade the graphics card / chip. The few that do allow you to do so are gaming laptops which generally cost $1,500+. This only applies to specific models. Simply purchasing a $2,000 laptop does not automatically mean you can upgrade.

If you find that the Intel HD 4000 is not powerful enough, then you should return the laptop for a refund if you are still able to. I think BestBuy has a 15 day return policy.

You are better off looking for a laptop which has a graphics chip. Avoid the nVidia GT 610m, the Intel HD 4000 is actually marginally more powerful.

GTA 4 isn't exactly a system friendly game. The link below shows someone trying to change graphic settings beyond 800x600 and pretty low settings, but he can't. Also it seems GTA 4 + FRAPS + Intel HD 4000 = Crash City.

Here's a video of someone trying to give instructions on how to run GTA 4 on a laptop with an Intel HD 4000 and higher settings in the other video. It seems to work, but it goes to show that you should not make an instructional video when you are dead tired... Read the comments. Some people say it works for them, others say it does not work for them.
