dual gtx780 performance on pci-e 2.0

Hello guys i am building up a new pc

İm thinking about buying asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0 mobo

İ wanted to ask u guys a question if i get 2 gtx780 on this mobo

İs there a going to be performance drop due the pci-e 2.0 ?

Yes it would http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PCI_Express you can, if you have the funds to get 2 GTX780, there is no, absolutely no reason to skimp on the motherboard.

if you have the bank for 2 gtx 680's why go cheap on the mobo?
but, to your question: gaming wise pcie 3.0 has only theoretical advantage over pcie 2.0. When it comes to GPU computing then the difference is big.

Ony asus sabertooth 990fx gen 3.0 got pcie exp 3.0 on amd platform , all the other mobos got pci-exp 2.0

That's the MOBO I have an I would recommend it in a heartbeat. I can confirm it runs dual cards a PCIe 3.0 x16 on both.
