Hello everybody, what a great community. I need to learn a lot about computer components so I’m here looking for your help in a new build. Note: Sorry if my English is bad sometimes…

Approximate Purchase Date: December

Budget Range: 1000$-1200$ (Without case, monitor)

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Web design, Photoshop, illustrator, AutoCAD, 3D modeling, and gaming. Office and web browsing.

Are you buying a monitor: No

Do you need to buy OS: No

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Ok, here is the hard part. I need to buy most of the parts physically (I only know stores like Best Buy, I have been researching and found TigerDirect too) So if you know any stores around the US (Florida) where i can go and buy those parts i will be grateful. Comment: parts that are less than 99$ can be bought in Amazon.

Location: I live outside US but I will travel to Florida in December, that's when I’m planning to buy almost all the parts

Parts Preferences: by brand or type: Intel cpu, Asus or ASrock motherboard

Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: Yes

Your Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080 HD (Maybe next year i will upgrade the monitor)

Additional Comments: Ok, this build is a huge challenge. Everything that exceeds the 99$ i will have to buy it physically in December, and anything that is less than 99$ i can buy it online in amazon.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: my pc died early this year, so I have been saving money this year for a new build. In my country everything is just too expensive, so my plan is buy everything (Except the case, monitor and accessories) when I travel to the US.

My major concern is the processor and motherboard, I need these two to last for years and be upgradable maybe, because these are obviusly the most expensive and hard to find in my country.

One of my "Ideas" for the build that I think I can find the parts physically when I travel:

CPU: Intel core i7-4770k / Intel Core i5-4670k
Mobo: Asus Sabertooth Z87
Ram: 16gb
Graphics Card: 1gb (NVIDIA probably... I don't really know)
HDD: 1TB/2TB Seagate barracuda
Power supply: No idea... A corsair probably but i don’t know with how much power.
Cooler: No idea
SSD: Crucial of 120/240gb (Not sure)

Well, that's it. So thank you very much in advance. Feel free to put your ideas for the build, recommendations, etc. (And, again, sorry if my english is bad sometimes)

Only issue I can think of is that a top notch autocad card will not be a great gaming video card and vice versa. If you make your living from the autocad, then you should invest in a true openGL card (which are usually big bucks). If you're just playing around with it, then go ahead and just use a gaming videocard.

If you're not overclocking, stock cooler is fine. if it's too loud for you, Hyper 212 Evo seems to be the go to choice- cheap and effective.

Storage wise, you can never have enough. if budget allows, go with the 240GB SSD and 2TB HDD and skimp somewhere else, my suggestion would be on the motherboard. You can get a good Z87 motherboard for half the price.

With what you have specd out, I'd say a 550W PSU is plenty. To give you an idea, I have a 4770K, Radeon 6950, 16GB RAM, 2TB HDD, 240GB SSD, and Z87 mini-itx mobo running on a Seasonic G550 PSU and that draws around 300W from the wall. (G550 is 80 Plus Gold so its still efficient at 60% load)

good luck.
