Hello, I got a hp 2000 laptop. ( not to be confused with the dv2000)
It runs windows 8 and is fairly new.
My problem is the screen will not display anything.
When power button is pressed the laptop boots, the screen lights up but nothing is displayed. Tried to hook it up to external and nothing.
Soooo I started to take the laptop apart and I try to test as I go and long story short. If I hook the laptop up to a external display while the LCD is disconnected from the motherboard it boots up on the external.
So I thought maybe bad LCD?
Welllllll I took the LCD and hooked it up to another laptop and boom works perfect.... Soooooo I thought LCD cable?
Well I bought one from eBay(new oem) and hooked it up and still get nothing. I have tried to hold the power button down for 30 secs with battery out and nothing I also took the CMOS battery out and let it set for a minute and still nothing. I have also tried different sticks of ram and nothing.
So I am stumped on what to do now lol...
Any help or opinions will be greatly appreciated.
