Hey I'm new at camcorders, and I don't know anything! Please explain everything..

I'm thinking about buying this camcorder. http://www.onequality.com/sony-dsrpd150-dvcam-3ccd-camc...

I have a budget of around $800, and I want a very good looking camcorder which can record in 1080p on a hard drive. No tape. A LCD screen would be nice as well! I don't care if its user or not as long as it very good condition.

Please help!

Hi Razerium - sadly, the Sony DSR-PD150 you linked to is a 7 year old tape camera.

With your budget, I would get a new Panasonic HC-X900.for $681 (as of this post).

It records 1080p at 24 and 60 frames per second, has a viewfinder and an LCD screen, and records to solid state SD cards.

Here is what this camera can do:

Do you have one that looks good? Like looks professional?

If you need a camera that records to solid state media that "looks" professional for $800 - you may want to look at something like a used Panasonic AG-AC7 ($810 at Amazon). The images won't be as sharp as 1080/60p from the consumer camcorder, but it is a shoulder mounted camcorder that appears to be more professional, if that is important to you. And the image quality isn't bad. Here is a wedding shot with the AG-AC7:

Good luck with your decision,
