I am getting ready to build my rig and I want to know the best..stable..drivers for the Asus Titan GPU? It will be on an Asus P9X79 Pro board with a 3930 CPU...and a Dell U2713HM monitor. I have read there are problem with the newer drivers...I want one without "issues" even if its not the latest. What about the Bios update also...which version should that be?

I also need to know the best route to take with my sons Alienware M14X R2 laptop with a GeForce GT 650M GPU. Is it best to update drivers through Dell or Nvidia?

It was 320.49 and it has a WHQL label on it (meaning not beta). You can download it here: http://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/63458

I run these drivers for my GTX 760 SLI setup and they run pretty smooth. I tried the beta drivers, had no issues beyond a bit of microstuttering for the SLI setup. (Which I was happy to find was ironed out by 320.49)

As far as stability goes, it's a craps shoot without knowing the rest of the hardware/software components of the system. Something as basic as installing new drivers without uninstalling the old ones can cause "errors". Also, feel free to download GeForce Experience from nVidia. You can change the update settings there to either accept the latest beta release drivers or just keep it...

The answer is always going to be nVidia. They have the latest stable version as 320.46; and that is the version that is best recommended.

Also, cite where you're reading about these "issues" with the latest drivers?

I dont see a 320.46...could you mean 320.49? So according to the Nvidia site 320.49 and up are all beta...beta equals possibly still unstable correct? If so...this means the 320.49 would be best for both my Titan and my sons 650M in his laptop correct?

To be honest I dont remember where I read that. I have been cramming for this build and been to a few forums and read a lot of reviews and articles. I think one person was responding to another and it was said that he/she felt any drivers in the 320 range were not good and thats why he still uses 314.22 I think it was. I do understand everyone has their own opinions too...which may or may not be factual or the best solution.

Thanks for the help.

It also makes tweaking game settings a breeze (for supported titles).

Ok great. Yeah I was looking at that GeForce Experience...could be handy...thanks.

I know there are stickies and tutorials with the steps of physically building a new rig...but I havent run across anything on the step sequence of loading and updating Bios, drivers and OS updates etc.. Has anyone done something like that yet? For example...first you flash the bios...then what should be next...configure bios?...load OS and update?...or update GPU drivers then continue...something like that. If there is can someone point me in that direction?
