Recently I built my first gaming PC and because of this my friend has asked me to make a gaming build but in a lower budget than I did. I just wanted to make sure all these parts are compatible and if there are any changes which would improve the build. My build:
CPU : Intel Pentium G870 - £60
Motherboard : MSI H61M-P31-G3 - £37
Ram : G-Skill 8GB Single Module Memory 1333mHz - £54
Optical Drive : LG GH24NS95.AUAA 24x - £18
PSU : Corsair Builder Series CXM 500W Modular - £51
HDD : Western Digital 1TB internal Hard Drive Caviar Blue - £50
SSD : SanDisk SDSSDP-128G-G25 128GB SATA 6GB/s - £65
Case : Fractal Design Core 1000 - £27
GPU : Asus GeForce GTX 660 - £169
OS : Microsoft Windows 8 Standard 64 bit OEM - £77
Mouse&Keyboard : Microsoft Wireless Desktop 800 - £18
Total Cost = £626

Also , I was just wandering if having an SSD is worth it on a build at this price, would it be more cost effective to just leave the SSD out,and is 500w enough power? Thanks for your help in advance.

SSD will be a bad idea on this build as the money would be better spent elsewhere.

That CPU is going to bottleneck, by the way, so remove that SSD and put that money on the CPU and Motherboard.

@IOwnALaptop - Getting an SSD on a low budget is a BAD idea. The CPU he's suggesting in order to stay in budget is a pentium and you want to stick an SSD in there?

Ok then, so if i dump the SSD, then what processor/motherboard upgrade would be worth getting? And what do you mean by bottleneck? (P.S. I am building this PC for my friend and have chosen all the parts, not the other way around).

The CPU is really weak, that's basically it. It needs to be upgraded, and there are two ways to do that: either you extend the budget, or you cut down on components. Right now the component which is most obvious to cut out is the SSD, followed by the GPU which could be dialed down to a GTX650 and the PSU which could be non-modular.

EDIT: Didn't notice the "what" in your question. Try upgrading to an i3 or i5, 3rd gen, non-OC (without the K at the end of the model). The motherboard would have to be upgraded to a H77 (no overclocking).

2nd EDIT: The suggestion made by Seladon would also be mine if you want to go for AMD.
