Hello,

On the AMD website, it says the minimum recommended PSU for my graphics card would be 500W but my current one is 430, I just want to know if my current PSU is not enough and may be damaging other components or if I should upgrade right away..?

System:

Athlon II X2 270 @ 3.4GHz
SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 4870 1GB GDDR5
4GB ADATA @ 1600MHz
Corsair CX430v2

I've been playing games and using the system for about a week now with no stability issues.

Thanks,

Solution
That's just the recommended since many users don't exactly get quality PSUs. A Corsair CX 430 V2 is much better than some no name 500WPSU. You're fine with that system.

Thank you very much!

One more thing though, would it still be safe if I upgraded my CPU to an FX-6300 95W TDP? (my current max TDP for the Athlon is 65W)
