Hello Im making my first build and Im near the end but I need a little help with the connecting things together.

I have few questions that I didnt found answer for or even if I did I didnt understood it very well. What I wanna know is if I can plug case fans directly to the mobo as it have some reduction which can be unplugged and at the end is this " molex " plug or do I have to use the molex which comes from PSU and plug it there?

Also I have question about another PSU cable , it says I should put the big one ( 24-pin EATXPWR into mobo ) as I did , and and also 8-pin EATX12V. Now which cable is the EATX12V ?? I checked all the PSU cables and I see 2 cables with "CPU" on the side.Should I put one of them into that hole? Or should I put them both somewhere? If just one , whats the other for?

One last question, when connecting SATA cables from SSD and Optical Drive to mobo , should I also connect them with cable comming from PSU? Also is it okay if I put them both at one cable? Cause there are 2 same type of cables. Thanks a loooooooot

You can plug case fans directly into the motherboard if it's a 3 or 4 pin connector coming from the fan. Sometimes case fans will only have 2 plugs for the motherboard and rely on the 4 pin molex for power, the little 2 pins that go into the motherboard would then be for monitoring fan speed. Just plug them in and see what happens, worse case scenario you have to use the 4 pin molex connection.

If your motherboard CPU power only requires one of the 4 pins that are labeled CPU than only use one, some chipsets require 8 pin and that is why they break it up into two separate cables.

You need to connect your HDD and CD drive to the motherboard via a sata cable and then connect the PSU SATA power cable to the devices for power. You will...

You will be ok if you connect the multiple devices to the same cable coming from the PSU. Usually it has several SATA power connectors on one cable for this exact reason.

One more thing , does it matter where on the mobo I plug these fan 2-3-4 pin cables? I cant seem to find any explanation , so I guess it doesnt matter? I got coolermaster haf xm 922 , so there are 1x front 200mm , 1xtop 200mm , 1x rear 140mm fans... any ideas?

I have maximus hero VI , when I unpluged the molex from the fan cables , I got left with the small plug with 3 holes , and as I look on the other side of the molex cable it have 2 pins. So now I have no molex at the fan cables but this small plug with 3 holes each one of them.
