Hi, I just purchased 2 new computers last weekend and already seem to be having problems with both. They are both HP Pavilions with the AMD10 processor, 8gb RAM, 1Tb HDD, and running windows 8.

After starting the computers for the first time I ran all of the recommended windows updates and HP updates. However, both computers have crashed multiple times when they are on stand-by (signed out) and I'm not around. When I come back they are turned off. Upon start-up it gives me a message saying that an error occurred which caused the computer to shut-down. The messages it sends to Microsoft says this:

c:\Windows\Minidump\090513-31137-01.dmp
c:\Users\Kirk\Appdata\Local\Temp\WER-155376-0.sysdata.xml
c:\Windows/MEMORY.dmp

Can anyone tell me what this is? Is it something I can fix or do I needed to return both computers before my 14-day return policy is up??

At one point it said that a wi-fi error caused a shut-down and that the computer might need a wi-fi driver update. I went to the drivers and checked for update but it said I have the most updated driver.

Thank you for your help!
Kirk

I agree altho I perfer win 7 I have win 8 as well and after the shell classic download its awesome to use so I could contact hp and see if there is something a hotfix they offer dont let them dick you around with a ton of reformats and installs that just prolongs the problem not fixes it and they are notorious for this good luck.
