Hello, I have recently been thinking of building a gaming rig and trying to save up for it has been a bit of a struggle. Due to how long it might take to get the certain amount of money to get a brand new rig, i've been thinking about just adding new and better hardware to my current desktop. With my computers specs will it be able to run/handle a Radeon HD 7850 2GB if not then a Radeon HD 7790 1GB, if I were to get a brand new Corsair 500w PSU.
Thanks.
System Specs:
CPU: AMD Athlon TM X2 250 Processor 3.0Ghz
GPU: NVIDIA Geforce 6150SE nForce 430
RAM: 4 GB (3.75 use-able)
PSU: 220w (Already stated will change if needed for new installments)
Motherboard: M2N68-LA (Narra6)

My budget is 425$ to any new hardware going to this system until i have enough to build a new rig. If for some reason any of my specs can/will bottleneck new hardware I dont mind getting a new CPU, PSU, and GPU using the 425$ but would rather be avoided if possible. At a last note i would like to clarify that this is my first time building or making any computer hardware installments. Thanks for the help! :)

Investing in a good PSU is a good idea if you plan to continually upgrade your PC. While a good 500W PSU would be good enough for most computers with a single 7870 (or even something a bit more) the 750 would let you go with two 7870s latter on with room to spare. This is what I would go with. Your next upgrade...
