Sounds like a dead Cmos battery, check the battery on the mobo, shut down, pull the battery, wipe it off, reinsert it shiny (labeled) side up andsee if it does same, if so prob dead

Let me know how it goes, can usually pick up a battery in most any system shop, even at WalMart, BestBuy, Office Depot or O Max, Staples, etc

If it's still doing the same with a new battery check the battery and make sure in snug and shiny side up, the bottom is generally textured

you mean the side with some letters,it is seated as the right method, and also the bios is shoving bat voltage correctly, around 3v

Sounds like it's working, update the date and time in the BIOS, then can check by turning off and unplugging, then plug back in start up, if date/time has been lost then the BIOS chip itself may be bad
