This is only slightly video game related so try to bear with me

so around black friday I plan on getting this graphics card

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161406&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=

I plan on getting it then because I'm on a tight budget and want to save some cash. However I also want to take advantage of the two free games so I can get battlefield 4 when it comes out. do you think I would save more money waiting until black friday and risk losing the two free games offer or getting it now?

Solution
Unless you're going to run on 1600p resolution with 2 or 3 monitors, having only 1GB of Vram won't make any difference AT ALL.
The Sapphire one that I recommended you is clocked at 900 MHz, compared to the HIS one, that is clocked to 860 MHz. The Sapphire also runs cooler, and thus can be overclocked much higher.
That, added with the fact that it is actually cheaper, is why I'm recommending you this one.
Here's a cheaper and faster version of your card : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202004&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=. The free games offer probably won't be gone until the moment on which you plan to buy it.

This only has 1GB of video ram, how is it faster than the other card?

That's not true. Depending on the game being played and setting used of course... I have 2x GTX 470's in sli and each one has 1.25GB on video RAM... Slightly more than 1GB. I use the geforce experience to optimize my settings and video RAM usage gets up there... Over 1200MB in Battlefied 3, Crysis 3, and Metro Last Light. That's running at 1920x1080 resolution with very minimal AA. In some cases the vRAM bottlenecks my cards and I have to lower some settings. I wouldn't recommend anything less than 2GB of video RAM.. Maybe 1GB is plenty for 1280x1024 or lower but not 1920x1080 or higher. 1GB is barely enough at those resolutions. Definitely get the 2GB version.
