Went shopping.

ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z AM3+ AMD 990FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Gaming Motherboard

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

AMD FX-8350 Vishera 4.0GHz (4.2GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 125W Eight-Core Desktop Processor

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

CORSAIR Dominator Platinum 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

SAMSUNG 840 Pro Series MZ-7PD256BW 2.5" 256GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Now My Question is More or less about the ram.
Set it manually to 2133
Timing to 9-11-11-31
Voltage 1.65V

But how can i tell if it's working correctly? Can someone point it out to me? (Don't know much about this stuff)

Ran SiSoftware Sandra Business and this is what it says about the memory as far as i can tell.

now what should i be looking for in that to tell if it's running correctly?

Also noticed at the very bottom of the report it said the following which got me concerned.

Performance Enhancing Tips
Warning 100 : Large memory sizes should be made of Registered/Buffered memory.
Tip 2546 : Large memory modules should be ECC/Parity.
Warning 2542 : Memory bus speed exceeds Chipset rated speed. Reduce FSB/memory multiplier.
Warning 2543 : Memory hole may not be required. Check BIOS settings.
Warning 2513 : TPM not detected. Some security features are unavailable.

Any help would be appreciated, Just bought this stuff, Little brother put it in and installed it all and i want to make sure it's all running correct.

Download and run CPU-Z and look in the memory tab, it will show the true freq you are at - should be at about 1066-1067 since it's DDR (DOUBLE data rate so true freq (1066) time 2 = effective rate (2133), it will also show the timings you are at

Downloaded and installed. This is what i got

Chipset
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Northbridge AMD RD9x0 rev. 02
Southbridge AMD SB910/950 rev. 40
Graphic Interface PCI-Express
PCI-E Link Width x16
PCI-E Max Link Width x16
Memory Type DDR3
Memory Size 16 GBytes
Channels Dual
Memory Frequency 1070.2 MHz (3:16)
CAS# latency (CL) 9.0
RAS# to CAS# delay (tRCD) 11
RAS# Precharge (tRP) 11
Cycle Time (tRAS) 31
Bank Cycle Time (tRC) 45
Uncore Frequency 2207.3 MHz

So 1070.2 x 2 (dual channel) = 2140 (2133)

So it's running correct i'm assuming?

And what about those Weird Performance Enhancing Tips? Don't worry about them?

Can ignore the warning from Si-Sandra, looks like it's an older version - or oriented toward business server oriented system, very few PCs use register DRAM or ECC those are more server related types of DRAM

However, oh god, it might explode at 2140.......just kidding ;)  your good to go! and congrats, not many get the 8350 up to 2133 DRAM ;)
