Ever since I got a Razer synapse update from less then a month ago my computer will not detect my keyboard or mouse (which are both Razer) at random (most of the time it is shortly after start up but it has happened to me after having my computer on for many hours). I have a 2011 version of a Razer Naga and Black Widow Ultimate.
What happens is that after I type in my password (sometimes before I get the opportunity to) my keyboard and/or mouse will stop working. Sometimes the mouse will not detect movement or the keyboard will stop picking up keystrokes. When this happens my lights on the keyboard or mouse will turn off most of the time. I've tried different USB ports and that will only do the trick if my computer will actually install the device drivers which it will not do most of the time when this is happening. I have used different company's peripherals and they work fine so I know it is Razer. I however cannot tell if it is the Razer synapse software or my motherboard's USB ports. Also I would like to add that unplugging my keyboard and/or mouse will cause my computer to spazz out, making the lights strobe and fan speeds to rev up every second. Plugging my Peripherals back in will not fix it nor stop my computer from spazzing. Its been happening for less than a month now and I think it is Razer synapse because of the fact that it happened while updating Razer synapse (which is the worst idea ever because it cause me to have to restart my PC multiple times hoping it will actually work)but if anyone has any idea of how to fix this I would love to know and be very grateful. If anyone would like to see a video of my computer going through the "spazz" stage of it I have a video that I can edit up and upload to YouTube
