Is it worth getting the AMD 7970 now?

Am thinking about picking this card up next week: Sapphire 7970

Hopefully when am ready to buy it, price will go back down to $300 but its still a good deal. Its this a good idea? since the AMD new GPU's is coming out next month.

Hi. New cards won't have better perfomence/dollar rate. They will be really expensive first weeks.
7970 is really good card in price/dollar rate. But as always there is bad side - it won't have a lot of new drivers which increase perfomance. AMD is always focusing on newest GPUs. So it depends on your decision.
BTW 7970 is better for price than NVIDIA 760 and 770.
I would say pick 7970

So 7970 it is. i wanted to get an Nvidia card but every time and ready to buy a new card, AMD always fits my Budget (price/performance)

Actually, I don't know if they'd honor the rebate or not. If you don't want to risk it, the HIS IceQ X http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007LFV7RM/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B007LFV7RM&linkCode=as2&tag=b0b929-20 is actually a better performing model than the Sapphire and just $310 with no rebate.

Kinda what to stick with the sapphire card. $20 isn't really a big deal and I never really messed with MIR. I owned an HIS AMD 7770 before and am going through all the different manufactor to see which I like best.

what am concern about is the pricing on them. i always buy GPU's when a good deals gets to the $250-300 range
