Specs:
Gigabyte H87-HD3 Motherboard
Intel Core i5 4670K
Corsair CMZ4GX3M1A1600C9 4GB 1600MHz CL9 DDR3 Vengeance Memory
Corsair Builder Series CXM 750W Modular 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX/EPS PSU

I have heard about overclocking and I am thinking of getting an aftermarket CPU cooler to overclock my i5 4670k. I am not completely new to the bios and I have done a little bit of research on the topic. I am looking for a modest overclock of about 4.2GHZ. Thanks in advance.

You can't, basically. Only Z87 mobos fully support overclocking in the 8 series mobos.

You can raise the multiplier to 38, and raise the BCLK (not by much, definitely not over 103).
