I'll admit I might sound like I have no idea what I'm talking about because ever since i was 4 I've been playing on consoles. But please don't judge me some of my favorite games are on windows. Well no more wasting time, I'm getting an Aurora and as I mentioned don't really know a lot about this stuff.

I just want a computer that can play any game coming out this year or next on ultra, will these specs work?

I would switch from the x79 platform to the Z87 for gaming. This should make things more affordable. Not that you're looking for more affordable, but the X79 does not offer any real advantage for gaming performance over the Z87 platform.

Unless you are running on a 4K monitor, you don't need a ton of video RAM to get great performance. My guess is you're running on a 1080p monitor (1920x1080)?

This gives you a single GTX 770 which is better than a single 680.

This is also a system build that is flexible enough (enough power and SLI-ready motherboard) that you can add another 770 if you feel it necessary. It should get you through the next few years no problem.
