Usually only reviews will show that sort of thing, product manufacturers will obviously never say "Manufactured with cheap chinese plastic and featuring a bad firmware!"
I do not think there is. And if there is, I doubt the increased performance will be anywhere near noticeable.
Assuming a switch from the same brand, with the same number of ports and are both unmanaged and gigabit, why do companies even come up with 2 different models?
And why some companies switch is much more expensive than the other?
It's usually because of the firmware or the quality of the materials. One of those switches could have more functions, for example. Or be built with a better framing while the other is cheap plastic.
