I have been playing borderlands 2 and since I have installed my gtx 780 the game will get the "ran out of memory error" every 30 minutes to an hour. I have all the settings maxed out. I have been running gpu-z while I play it and the vram never goes above 70% and the gpu load stays at about 60%.

Specs:
EVGA Gtx 780
AMD FX-8350
8gb ram
Windows 8 32 bit

Solution
you need to install a 64bit version of windows to begin with to use all of your ram, it will most likely solve this problem also as all of your graphics ram will not be accessable either on 32bit windows.

you can use the same key you used for your 32bit install just use a 64bit version instead, it will require a fresh format and clean install, you cant upgrade from 32 to 64.

Like mauller07 said, switching to 64-bit Windows may fix your problem. Depending on which GTX 780 you installed, you may only be able to access 1-2 GB of system RAM, since under 32-bit Windows, you can access 4 GB total (system RAM and video card RAM).
