So I just built my new desktop and installed drivers that came with it but have found that the internet speed is SUPER slow. If I use ethernet through my laptop I get about 10MB/s on speedtest.net. But if I go to speedtest.net on my desktop I get .013MB/s and it takes about a minute for the download part to connect. What is the problem? To me it sounds like its a problem with a driver or the hardware since the same cord and wall port works great on my laptop.

If AISuite installed and Network iControl enabled, try disabling it.

try updating your ethernet driver to the latest driver from the chips manufacturers website.

Have you restarted the board after uninstalling it?
In Device manager is the ethernet controller listed?

It is already the latest. I have recently just discovered that it could be that it did not register with my university correctly. the begging part of the ip addresses of my laptop and desktop are different. I am going to contact our IT and see if I can solve it through them.

Hey so I thought I got it fixed somehow because it was starting to be fast but now it went down to about .5MB/s while my laptop is at 10-12MB/s. Why would this be happening???

So I just decided to test using internet sharing from my laptop to the desktop and it works fast! So it's something with the network configuration. Odd, I'll have to talk to IT again. Thanks for your help.
