What Memory Should I Choose

cas latency doesn't mean anything anymore.

you're not being very smart about whats wanted or needed inre to the thread and the hardware listed. you should know that cas latency means nothing like it did in 2008. even in high end over clocking builds it means nothing unless you're an artificial benchmark freak.

in my initial response 2133 was suggested. I could have said 2600 but the apu will not benefit from the extra speed for the price you have to pay. with an APU ram speed is all that matters. the faster it is the more the onboard graphics will sing. put your ego aside you're not helping the OP.

Yes you did suggest 2133, which is better performance, but if they are going to decide on 1600, are you just saying.....awww, just blow it off then? Shouldn't they still go for the best performance they can get within the budget for the given freq? That makes no sense

you do realize if we were talking about an i5 it wouldn't matter what ram speed you were running because the processor is fast enough not to cause problems. but because we're talking about an APU, the extra ram speed, or the extra 5fps you will get going from 1866 to 2133, will make the difference of being able to play fluidly vs having erratic game play............

I agree on the extra DRAM speed, but when one has been advised of the benefits of faster - as was here, clearly, and they are talking 1600 anyway, am suggesting at least get good/low CL sticks, appears the 2133 isn't in the budget....the faster the DRAM is going through cycles the better especially in regards to the GPU
