Hey guys, I need to upgrade my parents' home router - Linksys WTR54GL, because they are getting higher speeds now.
So, I am looking for a budget N router in the class of Dlink 605L, Linksys E900, TPLink WR940N, etc (I am listing some on purpose, because local prices are a bit different).
The most important thing in this case is Range. Which budget routers provide better range, especially better than the WRT54GL? I am planning on using the old Linksys as a bridge to expand the network. Are there any cheaper routers that will NOT work with the Linksys being a bridge?

Another budget router to consider is the Medialink N router. It's low priced and gets very good reviews..

Bear in mind that using your Linksys G router as a repeater, will mean having to downgrade the N router to G, as the two standards can not be used together to 'repeat'
