So i'm getting all the parts for my computer and i want to get an aftermarket CPU cooler and pcpartpicker.com doesn't have the cooler i want on the list wich is the
Cooler Master Hyper 212x http://www.coolermaster.com/product/Detail/cooling/cpu-air-cooler/hyper-212x.html

my specs:
Motherboard: ASUS Z87-A
CPU: Intel core i7 4770k
Power Supply: Crosair cx500
Graphics Card: evga geforce gtx 660
case: Thermaltake Chaser MK-I

The Hyper 212x has been replaced with the Hyper 212 Evo.

And yeah if it's for gaming you're doing it wrong. Dump the i7 and invest the difference in getting a GTX 770. Also get a less expensive case and a better power supply.

I would also rethink the PSU. Corsair is good, but the CX series is suspect. This would be good: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151119

Yeah if you're getting a Corsair PSU, get the HX or AX. Those are made by Seasonic. The CX series are made by Channel Well and don't necessarily stand for quality: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/power-supply-oem-manufacturer,2913-5.html
