My PC died but the hard drive was fine. I wanted to retrieve the data, AND use it as a storage device for backups and extra memory. I bought an enclosure, installed the drive in it, and it worked! I turned it on about 8 or 9 times, but from that point on it was dead. I could not turn it on again. There had been no indication of a malfunction from drive in the enclosure up till that point. Could it be the power adapter that came with the enclosure? I'm in uncharted territory here. Don't know how to proceed. Please advise.
