Hello, soon I will be getting an AMD Sapphire 7970
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
and the case I am getting is the Corsair Carbide 500r
http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Carbide-Series-Computer-C...
which has multiple fans and good air circulation. I know heat would be the main problem with OCing. So should I just save the extra money for the 7970 GHz edition or OC the normal 7970 to GHz? Would I be safe in temp because of my case and the fact that the Sapphire 7970 has pretty good coolers? Or should I just get the GHz edition

I do not think that the GHz version is worth it more price. OC is up to you but I have a feeling that you will be happy at least to start with at stock.

That is why I chose the normal version because I know matched up with an i5 4670k I will be able to run all games on highest settings above at least 40 fps which is all I want and everyone is telling me to get a 770 or 680 when I do not need to pay the extra money for that small of an increase in performance.

I agree with your assumption there and I am very happy with my HD7950 running a single 1080P monitor.

Exactly what I will be doing but with a 7970. Thank you for helping.
