So Im interested in OC since im upgrading from stock cooling to the Hyper 212 EVO, which I should have done when I built this damn thing. I have a few questions (refer to my specs in my sig):
This concerns me. It sounds to me this was probably happening on LGA 2011 socket MoBos where the backplate is not required, in turn caused the weight to distribute improperly. Someone explain to me why I should be concerned about using a tower air cooler, because it would make no sense to me for any company to make a cooler that could break a mobo that easily.
Second, How much OC do people see out of Haswell? Or even the ASRock z87 Extreme 4 (or the Z77 equiv). I'd really like to see 4.5 Ghz
Third, how easy is it to OC? I saw a guide and it seemed a lot lengthier than from what I remember people doing it.
Danke,

Don't overtighten .... did two MoBo replacements last month on builds where users "just installed a Hyper 212". One obviously scored the MoBo, never did figure out what other cause was.
