Hi to all, have a Western Digital My Book Essential and the other day there was a severe thunderstorm and my WDMB was connected to a TV via USB. There was a power outage and probably a surge. Now the WDMB is recognised in "Devices" as My Book 1130. I can't get any data from it and have run a search and this is the result.

I would be extremely grateful for a fix as there are lots of family photo's on it.

Is it an easy transfer as I was going to get another WD My Book. I have already opened the case of the problem HD. I was going to take it to a Data Recovery store but if it's simple to transfer the drive myself it will save me a packet.
