I don't think you'll be able to overclock it. If I understood you correctly, this is a card you already had and are passing it along to your brother?

Regardless, I don't think your brother will get much out of it for fallout: new vegas. Maybe low-med settings on a 900p screen.

Due to some error..the full info was not posted by me... I said i overclocked it be mem clock to 670mhz & core to 970mhz... This will boost fps for few games like mw2,3 ac2,3 by 5-6 fps...
Dont go further this...it will get unstable & probably freeze ur system..

mines the EVGA 610 I've successfully got it to 955mhz on the core clock. also the mem clock is 555mhz this was achieved using the new gameready driver which came out almost on Christmas which was today. in my opinion this is not such a bad card. and it may be old but it has done everything i've needed it to do.

i dont agree with some of u i recently got an old gt 610 had a old computer setup ready plugged it in and i was able to overclock it right after installing the overclock software evga precision x 16 and nvidia drivers . i got about 20 fps in 1366x768 in nfsmw 2012 without oc and with oc to 1012 from 810 and ram 530 to 564 guess what ??

35 fps in the game of nfsmw 2012 same resolution of 1366x768 with nothing more enabled
with playing it at 1920x1080p i got about 23 fps all time almost all the time
then gpu temp was 88c and fan speed was 100 and memory consumed was 1455MB Alsomt 1.5 GB out of 2 GB

Three things. First, what settings besides resolution were you using for nfsmw 2012? Second, I hope you don't keep that overclock because its a great way to burn out/break your card. I know nVidia says the max TDP is 102C, but running above 80-85 is not recommended for any gpu. Also, a 100% fan speed will destroy your fan a lot sooner. Third, the GT610 is an entry level card, nothing more. If you've got a low budget, a weak psu, and can only fit a low-profile card, you're better off spending $75-100 on a low-midrange gpu.

I managed to get 1ghz out of asus geforce 610 2gd3 and it improved in csgo new nuke like 5 frames outside, but inside i managed to get 150 fps easily, but then my gpu overheated and i found its stable on 930-950 ghz
