Gigabyte Z87-UD4H and NZXT Kraken x40

Hi Everyone,
I finished building a desktop yesterday with the hardware in subject.
The Kraken software doesn't show the CPU temp and shows fan speed at zero.

I attached the x40 to the CPU_OPT on the mo/bo and the exhaust fan to the kraken.

Is this normal?
Anyone knows how to fix this issue?
I'm not sure it's cooling properly...

Maybe I should post the workaround here in case they ever change their site.
So please note that the following is quoted from NZXT support site>Kraken issues:

This is a little quick fix guide on the Kraken software and the CPU Temperatures not showing up with a Haswell build.

1. You need to install Open Hardware Monitor beta 6.0. It can be found here http://openhardwaremonitor.org/downloads/. You might have to extract it to its own little folder. Just FYI keep that folder open, you will need it later.

2. This will depend on your Operating Software.

Windows 7 - You need to make sure that you have .NET Framework 3.5. If you don't have it, This is where you can get it...

While it shows the fan speed at zero , the fan is spinning correct ? Also the temps would be ok or the computer would shut down and the liquid temp is at 30c so it's not overheating.

The x40 should be connected to the 4 pin CPU_FAN connector right below to the CPU socket. Not the CPU_OPT. The rear exhaust fan can be connected to one of the MB fan connectors.
In order for the x40 to read the fan speed it should be connected to the CPU_FAN connector.

Thank you inzone very much for the reply below.

I want to make sure I have this right.
* The Kraken has one USB connector, going to one of the mo/bo's usbs.
* One 3 pin connector going to the CPU_FAN
*The rear exhaust has a 4 pin connector going to the Kraken's split connector, in the 4 pin one.

When I did this, I saw that the fan is now controlled (Managed to change the speeds and all) - Hurray!
However, I can't see the cpu temp.

Did I do anything wrong? the way I connected any of the above?

I'm no familiar with the Kraken product and the installation of it. For that I would defer to the installation instruction manual and if that doesn't help then you should be able to call their tech support since you just got it and they should be able to tell you what is wrong.

Ah, Apparently the CPU temp not showing is a known issue,
See NZXT support site for a workaround.
Hence inzone's answer is the solution. The link above will give complimentary workaround for the CPU Temp not showing in software issue.

Windows 8 - .NET Framework 3.5 is pre-installed into the OS. All you need to do is activate.You can also enable the .NET Framework 3.5 yourself through Control Panel. In Control Panel, choose Programs and Features, choose Turn Windows features on or off, and then select the .NET Framework 3.5 (includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0) check box. This option requires an Internet connection. You do not need to select the child items for Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) HTTP activation unless you are a developer who requires WCF script and handler mapping functionality.
3. Run the Kraken software
4. Run the open hardware source program.
5. Don't shut down Open Hardware source, just minimize it and you are set.
We know that others are having some issues with the software not installing or getting a USB lost connection. We are working on getting the software updated, There is no ETA right now. We are working on it though.
