fx-6100 bottleneck gtx460 sli?

i want to upgrade my graphics a little, and i want to know if it is possible to sli two GTX460`s with my current sistem.

by the way: im getting the second 460 as a gift, thats why im asking

You should be golden with that SLI setup and CPU. Will your motherboard support the setup? How about your PSU?

The PSU is fine...not sure about that motherboard with SLI cards though. It definitely says it supports Crossfire, but I don't know about SLI, I'm reading people saying SLI isn't supported on that board.

Maybe take a peak at these and see if they'll help.

All in all, if you're getting it free, it's worth a shot, but don't be surprised if they're not recognized.

yeah, i was looking into that, i think ill play it safe, i might invest by changing my motherboard to a M5a99x Evo R2.0, at least i can get something in retourn for selling mine and its definetly an upgrade.
